On March 5th, 2022 at 11 pm Houston will have a new after hours destination for fans of non-commercial EDM. The party will kick off every Saturday at 11 pm in March.
Located at 5806 Star Lane.
Last year we collaborated with DJ’s Kay Illah and Yisel with support from Hyro, Don Rey and Human Simulator to bring their unique grooves to Haze Nightclub. Check out the write up below:
This year we’re in a new venue located on 5806 Star Lane that lets us extend the party beyond sunrise and the ability to turn the sound all the way up for an intense after hours in Houston.
CRIM + RADAR
Stephen To’mas was instrumental in helping to curate and book a DJ line up that includes Houston’s best underground DJ’s through his CRIM event management entity. CRIM is an acronym for ‘Creating Reality Internalizing Moments’.
The night is branded under CRIM’s RADAR after hours.
Earlier this year the beloved Ways after hours bid farewell leaving a gaping hole in Houston’s post 2 am nightlife. Ways was a destination offering epic nights that ended well past dawn with some of the most amazing music to be heard anywhere. Its closure left many Houstonians and people passing through our city hungry for another after hours party.
This lead to the emergence of a new group of people including DJ’s, venue owners on board with our vision, event managers, sound engineers and everyone else involved to create an all new experience that defines the next phase in Houston after hours.
Sound and Music
Each DJ who signed on to join the party has been solely focused on giving our city an after hours destination focused purely on great music that people can dance to. We hope to keep the core team intact and eventually expand the line up to take advantage of the 2nd floor of the venue.
Sound has been provided by Houston PA who are on a tear at the moment. Darren who is behind the company is doing sound for Sanman Studios and a host of other venues and each time delivers room filling acoustics.
The final DJ line up is loaded with home-based and international artists with backgrounds ranging as far as Italy (BL/6), Germany (Csilla) and Iran (Zad). New to the scene is JPTR who is performing at her second show, but is a gem waiting to be discovered and we are excited to have JPTR share her unique style with our audience.
DJ’s with residencies include Malcolm Bravo (The Flat) and Zad (Bahaus). Lastly NYC native Elijah Price, with deep ties to after hours performances, will be rounding out the group of artists committed to a night of sonic stimulation for everyone who loves great music.
Each DJ offers diverse sounds emphasizing high energy dance music with wavey undertones, rhythmic techno and house.
